Abortion is not a simple decision for most women. And while some women do not experience any extreme physical effects or other long-term effects after an abortion, it is not uncommon for those involved in an abortion decision to experience emotional, relational, physical or spiritual side effects. These may happen shortly after the abortion or they may come up years later. It also is not exclusive to the woman who underwent the abortion, but can also affect the partner, parents, other children and others close to the woman, as well as abortion providers.
